How to read this example
The first car is the reference. Specification match uses year (35%), engine displacement (25%), fuel (15%), transmission (15%) and body type (10%). The year component falls by 10 percentage points per year of difference, down to zero. A differing engine, fuel, transmission or body type loses that field’s full weight. Mileage is shown separately to make the trade-off visible. This is an illustrative website metric, not the production API’s matching score, a condition assessment or a probability of a good purchase.
Only the displayed asking prices and mileages are compared. No adjustment is made for equipment, condition, accident history, import expenses or taxes. There are no actual sellers or listing links in this demonstration. The website demo is not connected to the production listings database.
